Gather with other regional business leaders, from organizations both large and small, to share environmental challenges and successes, learn more about environmental sustainability goals, identify needs, develop sustainable solutions that support the protection of local rivers and streams, and learn more about the Businesses for the Bay membership association. Engage with business, non-profit, and government leaders and network with Businesses for the Bay Members, Sponsors, and Partners.

Registration and networking will begin at 10am. The program starts at 10:30am.

Our Keynote Speaker is Businesses for the Bay Networking Partner, Dr. Jorge Ribas, President & CEO of the Mid-Atlantic Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. We’ll also hear from Brian Herrington, Esq., Director of Government Affairs at The Scotts Miracle-Gro Company. Brian will discuss the background and development of Scotts Miracle-Gro’s “Water Positive Landscapes” Initiative program (one of Businesses for the Bay‘s newest partnerships!)

The event will conclude with an interactive tour of the Luck Companies – Corporate Campus’ green initiatives.

Businesses for the Bay logo.jpegBusinesses for the Bay is an Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay membership association designed by businesses for businesses. Its mission is to encourage businesses throughout the Chesapeake region to find voluntary, innovative, and measurable solutions to improve water quality and the health of the Chesapeake Bay rivers and streams, and to raise public understanding of the valuable role these business members play in environmental restoration. This program provides businesses with a forum where they can make their voices heard, share best practices, facilitate environmental stewardship volunteer opportunities for employees, potentially save money, reach social and sustainability goals, and promote environmental efforts that are important to them, their customers, and their communities.
