Project Summary

Perdue Farms, a family-owned company, is a Founding Businesses for the Bay Member.  They have many corporate responsibility goals, including protecting the environment, living up to their civic responsibilities, and ensuring the well being of their associates.

Their Businesses for the Bay program encompasses all of their operations, and the projects are being implemented at facilities throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Most Perdue Farms facilities have an employee Green Team. Facility Green Teams throughout the Watershed will continue to meet at least 6 times a year to discuss sustainability goals and work on projects.

Perdue Farms is a proud 2016 Sponsor of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay’s Project Clean Stream. Through Project Clean Stream, the Green Teams plan to organize and host 7 trash clean-ups throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed in 2016, in addition to 50 trash clean-ups outside of the Chesapeake Bay watershed. Their clean-ups will take place in Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Indiana, California, and Washington.
