LandStudies is a B4B business because our staff and clientele recognize the value of the Chesapeake Bay and what's at stake if we don't protect it. Through our innovative site design and construction projects, we balance stewardship with practicality, all the while promoting the Bay and the work of the Alliance. We are excited to continue this collaboration.

Our first year of membership in the Businesses for the Bay program was a great step forward. We were able to host the Chesapeake Business Forum as well as focus on several goals that helped us to reduce our environmental impacts. We were rewarded with some significant savings on our bills for electricity and water. This year, we plan to continue these efforts and more as we look for new ways to save.

Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters is proud to be a member of Businesses for the Bay and to support the overall mission of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. We are a family owned, Socially Responsible, high quality wholesale coffee roasting company proud to call Coastal Virginia home. We founded our company on the idea that not only do we care about the backyards of the plantations we purchase from, but we also care about taking care of our own backyard...the Chesapeake Bay. Following that ideal, we coordinate our own clean up projects, participate in events focusing on Bay clean up and education and we also give a portion of our profits to Bay restoration efforts. You really can make a difference with every cup you drink.

The Chesapeake Bay has a longstanding history of supporting industry in the area, but the Bay has seen some hard times with cases of pollution and depletion of wildlife. Mohawk is absolutely committed to sustainability in our business and our communities, and we are excited to help Businesses for the Bay in their mission to restore the health of the Bay.

Since our inception, we have taken measures in our day-to-day operations to protect the natural resources of the Octoraro Watershed and the Chesapeake Bay. Businesses for the Bay provides an opportunity to share these strategies with other progressive industry leaders and begin to quantify the impacts of these measures. We're excited to be a part of this program and believe it has some tremendous upside for the private sector to show how it's contributing to water quality and other community and health benefits throughout the region.
