The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay Recognizes Pomerantz Marketing as a Businesses for the Bay Gold Member

(Annapolis, MD – April 11, 2018) – The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay recognizes Pomerantz Marketing as a Businesses for the Bay Gold Member. Pomerantz Marketing joins a growing partnership of large and small businesses in the Chesapeake Bay watershed that are undertaking voluntary actions to improve the health of our watershed, rivers, and streams.

The Businesses for the Bay Membership Association provides a network for its Members to share strategies and successes with other businesses and governmental and non-profit Networking Partners, as well as opportunities to engage employees in environmental efforts, and receive recognition for the valuable role each Member is taking to help improve the environment. As a Gold Member, the Alliance recognizes Pomerantz Marketing for its commitment to Chesapeake Bay protection and restoration.

Pomerantz Marketing is a highly regarded B2B marketing agency that supports the marketing efforts of regional, national and global companies in a wide range of industries, including technology, construction and channel marketing. They also serve as the outsourced marketing engine for select small to midsize companies that embrace marketing but don’t want to staff up.

The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay is the current recipient of this pro bono work; the 2018 Strategic Marketing Initiative is putting creativity to work for cleaner water. Pomerantz is working with the Alliance to increase their visibility in the community and to help better communicate their valuable mission. Community Engagement is important to Pomerantz Marketing, and it shows through their Businesses for the Bay Membership. The team plans to create a green team and hold at least 4 meetings a year to discuss sustainability goals, work on projects, and collect documentation, with an overall goal of increasing team building and employee morale. They will participate in at least one trash clean-up through the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay’s Project Clean Stream — the largest cleanup event in the Chesapeake Bay region! Keeping the entire community in mind, the team will invite diverse local community members to join in their environmental activities. Being good stewards of the environment and being part of the local community is so important to Pomerantz Marketing that they plan to implement a policy that facilitates employee volunteerism in local environmental projects. All employees are also offered the opportunity to work from home once a week, reducing the environmental impact of their company travel and saving gas and travel time!
