The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay Recognizes Kristi Neidhardt Team as a Businesses for the Bay Gold Member
(Annapolis, MD – January 14, 2019) – The Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay recognizes Kristi Neidhardt Team as a Businesses for the Bay Gold Member. Kristi Neidhardt Team renewed their membership with a growing partnership of large and small businesses in the Chesapeake Bay watershed that are undertaking voluntary actions to improve the health of our watershed, rivers, and streams.
The Businesses for the Bay Membership Association provides a network for its Members to share strategies and successes with other businesses and governmental and non-profit Networking Partners, as well as opportunities to engage employees in environmental efforts, and receive recognition for the valuable role each Member is taking to help improve the environment. As a Gold Member, the Alliance recognizes Kristi Neidhardt Team for its commitment to Chesapeake Bay protection and restoration.
The Kristi Neidhardt Team is the first B4B member from the realty sector! This eco-friendly real estate business’ green team regularly brainstorms and implements sustainability goals; their newest initiative is to decrease the use of plastic by using only reusable dishware in their office kitchen. In 2018, they did not order disposable coffee cups or plastic utensils! They also reduce energy use in the office and offer energy audits to clients who bought low-efficiency homes. In addition, through Trees for the Future, they plant 100 trees in honor of every home sale to offset the carbon footprint of travel and paper used in each sale.
The team feels strongly about giving back to the community and contributes to multiple charitable organizations, including Habitat for Humanity, Special Olympics, Feed the Children, Autism Speaks, the SPCA, and the St. Jude Children’s Hospital. The team started Movies for Miracles in May 2016, an outdoor movie event, where all funds raised are donated to a local organizations and causes. To date the event has donated thousands of dollars to The Oyster Recovery Partnership, the SPCA of Anne Arundel County, Mission 14, and Meghan Hughes Fundraiser for Colon Cancer Treatment. In August 2017, they held the outdoor movie night benefiting Mission 14 and the fight against human trafficking; they used recycling and compost bins provided by B4B Networking Partner, Annapolis Green, at the event!
Kristi Neidhardt, Realtor® & Founder of the Kristi Neidhardt Team, noted, “We are honored to be a part of Businesses for the Bay with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. Love that you are encouraging green practices, networking, new ideas, and creating a community of green businesses. Thank you for including us.”
