VA DEQ’s Tidewater Region VEEP Workshop

B4B Networking Partner, Virginia DEQ’s Office of Pollution Prevention, is hosting a free one-day Virginia Environmental Excellence Program (VEEP) workshop for the tidewater region June 20, 2019 in Virginia Beach.  VEEP members and other invited speakers will present best practices on topics including environmental management systems, resiliency, stormwater projects and energy efficiency.  DEQ staff from the Tidewater Regional Office will review the Department’s regulatory priorities.

The agenda includes: 
  • Opening remarks by Tidewater Regional Director Craig Nicol
  • Coastal Adaptation and Protection in Virginia summary by Ann Phillips, Special Assistant to the Governor for Coastal Adaptation and Protection
  • DEQ Regulatory Update presented by regional staff
  • Energy efficiency case study – Virginia Beach Convention Center
  • Facility tour – Old Donation School
