Agronomic Lawn Management Inc.’s mission is to provide quality lawn care second to none, through superior products, excellent customer service, and continuing education. Education and service are core values at ALM and they believe that educated employees lead to better service, creating beautiful lawns and happy customers. They also understand the value in giving back to the community and regularly donate to local non-profits.
Education is the root of ALM’s Businesses for the Bay projects. They are proud to educate all of their clients (approximately 6,300 people!) about environmental issues via written materials and raise awareness about environmental topics in their “Ask the Expert” Radio Show on 790AM the first and third Saturday of every month from 8-9am. In 2018, 26 of their shows touched upon environmental topics. In December 2017, ALM invited Corinne Stephens, Alliance Business Partnerships Manager, to talk on the “Ask the Expert Show” about the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. The ALM team is reducing the amount of plastic and Styrofoam that they use by increasing their reusable kitchen office supplies. In 2018, they saved both money and the environment by not buying 5 sleeves of Styrofoam cups for the office! That’s a lot of Sytrofoam! They also coordinate engaging employee volunteer days to clean-up trash from the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, using Project Clean Stream as their guide. In 2017, they held 2 clean-up days and engaged 15 employees! In 2018, they held 2 clean-up events with 12 employees involved in each event!
