Project Summary

The team at the Lockheed Martin – Curie Court Office Building in Rockville, Maryland is working on receiving LEED Gold Certification from the US Green Building Council. They have 48 square feet of native landscaping on the property, which provides habitat for native wildlife, including pollinators. They strive to involve their employees in environmental initiatives and held their first annual stream trash clean-up in spring 2018. They also held an Earth Day event in April 2018, to raise awareness and encourage employees to participate in environmental stewardship activities; 26 employees participated! Energy and water-saving devices are installed throughout the facility, reducing the amount of energy and water used.
