Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is a Founding Businesses for the Bay Member. SSAI is a science and technology company with offices in Lanham, Maryland and Hampton, Virginia. They are a leading provider of scientific research and development (R&D), engineering, and information analytics services across the range of Earth and space science disciplines, primarily for NASA.
Their staff consists of highly qualified science, engineering, and IT professionals. Activities range from cosmological studies to learn more about the birth of the universe to examining anthropogenic changes in Earth systems. They have scientists in the field who support research operations around the world, and engineers in laboratories who are building and preparing the next generation of space-based, remote-sensing instruments. They create and implement data systems and applications to manage, archive, and distribute critical data, and conduct science outreach to schools, museums, and the public around the country.
