Project Summary

The Temperanceville, VA Complex Employee Team holds regular roadside trash clean-ups through the VA Adopt a Highway program. In 2018, they participated in Clean the Bay Day and in 2019, the team will partner with the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay and register the clean-ups through Project Clean Stream.

The team also plans to continue to donate nitrogen and phosphorus credits through the Virginia Nutrient Credit Exchange Program. The Virginia Nutrient Credit Exchange Association is a voluntary association of 73 owners of 105 treatment facilities cleaning wastewater in the Chesapeake Bay watershed to reduce nitrogen and phosphorus.
