Tyson Foods in Temperanceville, VA is excited to participate in the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay Program. Tyson has committed to sustainability worldwide. In Temperanceville we take our responsibility to preserve the Bay, a natural resource that is important to us and all our neighbors, very seriously. We are happy to be a part of a group of businesses who shares this goal and are looking forward to more opportunities to get involved in the community and preserve the Bay.
Sarah Harrison-Linton, Tyson Foods Complex Environmental Manager
The Chesapeake Bay has a long history of supporting industry in the area, but it has unfortunately seen some hard times with cases of pollution and depletion of wildlife. As part of Mohawk’s commitment to believe in better processes around manufacturing and sustainability for the communities where we live and work, we are excited and honored to aid Businesses for the Bay in their mission to restore the health of the Chesapeake Bay.
Marty Bullins, Mohawk Industries-Glasgow Sr. Process Engineer and Sustainability Coordinator
