Our first year of membership in the Businesses for the Bay program was a great step forward. We were able to host the Chesapeake Business Forum as well as focus on several goals that helped us to reduce our environmental impacts. We were rewarded with some significant savings on our bills for electricity and water. This year, we plan to continue these efforts and more as we look for new ways to save.

Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters is proud to be a member of Businesses for the Bay and to support the overall mission of the Alliance for the Chesapeake Bay. We offer exceptional quality coffees that are roasted with careful attention to achieve the perfect experience. Our coffee is smooth, flavorful and for the true coffee lover. We believe you should drink coffee to love it! We care about the quality of our product, and we also care about our own backyard...the Chesapeake Bay. We coordinate our own clean-up projects, participate in events focusing on the Bay and we also give a portion of our profits to Bay restoration efforts. You really can make a difference with every cup you drink.

The Chesapeake Bay has a long history of supporting industry in the area, but it has unfortunately seen some hard times with cases of pollution and depletion of wildlife. As part of Mohawk’s commitment to believe in better processes around manufacturing and sustainability for the communities where we live and work, we are excited and honored to aid Businesses for the Bay in their mission to restore the health of the Chesapeake Bay.

Since our inception, we have taken measures in our day-to-day operations to protect the natural resources of the Octoraro Watershed and the Chesapeake Bay. Businesses for the Bay provides an opportunity to share these strategies with other progressive industry leaders and begin to quantify the impacts of these measures. We're excited to be a part of this program and believe it has some tremendous upside for the private sector to show how it's contributing to water quality and other community and health benefits throughout the region.
