Baltimore Community ToolBank

The end of tool scarcity for volunteers in the Mid-Atlantic.

The Baltimore Community ToolBank stewards an impressive inventory of tools to amplify the work and impact of community-based partners throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

In addition to tool lending, the Baltimore ToolBank manages two sizable rain gardens and the ToolBank Stormwater factory on site in the Carroll-Camden Industrial Park in southwest Baltimore City. Taken together, these stormwater management features help re-purpose more than 450,000 gallons of rain water annually. Water is used to fuel native habitat for a range of pollinators as well as to wash ToolBank tools.

The Baltimore ToolBank also engages volunteers to build floating wetlands that are deployed annually in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and hosts a variety of green networking events throughout the year.
